"DISCOVER A NEW WORLD AT KELLER"

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD!!

Annie Keller Regional Gifted Center is one of ten regional gifted centers in the Chicago Public School system.  Keller services the needs of gifted and talented students who are tested for enrollment.  Students must score 90th percentile or above in reading and math in order to be considered for testing by the Gifted Office.  Contact the Office of Academic Enhancement for further information regarding testing at 773-553-2060.  Keller has a very diverse population attracting students from all over the Chicagoland area.  Students who qualify according to Student Transportation guidelines receive bus service.

The instructional program at Keller is accelerated and challenging.  Students participate in instructional activities such as the Chicago Metro History Fair, Math Counts, instrumental band, Spanish, Art, Music, Chicago Children's Choir, Young Authors, Science Fair, Academic Bowl and a host of other academic competitions/activities.  Family PC Magazine designated Keller as one of the top 100 schools for technology in the country.  Keller has also been identified as a "School of Distinction" by the Chicago Board of Education. Students at the 8th grade level may earn high school credit and high school placement after successfully completing Algebra, Biology, World Studies and Survey of Literature.

There is a heavy emphasis on parental involvement at Keller.  The PTA provides many social activities for students.  In addition, the KAA (Keller Athletic Association) provides many sports activities for student participation.
